Next year

Hi, I'm Pau.

So the term is finishing and it's time to think about what will I do when I pass the Selectivitat. I want to study a career called “Grau en Informàtica, Serveis i Multimèdia”. It's a new degree and I think it's only taught at three universities in Catalunya. I'll study it at the university Gimbernat i Tomàs Cerdà. It's a private university, so it costs a lot of money that my parents will pay. The good thing is that you only need having passed Selectivitat. But the classes are during the evening, so I'll try to get some job to work in the mornings, for earning some money.

The degree lasts three courses. During the last course you can do some practices in some companys, so i hope i'll like the career and find a job that i like and where i earn some good money. I like computers and that things, that's why i've chosen this degree, and because i think you can work at many different places. Here you can view the Gimbernat university in Sant Cugat:

I will make in the future?

Is true that our life is going to change, and everybody is conscious to fact. Because in this moment everyone choose their way, and everybody goes to go for different ways professional.

Studying in this high-school has result one very important experience in my life, because I have met many new people and I understand many things about the world. For example I have learnt sciences chemicals, sciences physicals, more maths, in others.

I think in the near future, when you leave high school, I will continue studying as I have been doing so far. Firstly I have to try approving selectividad exams, and then I try to make a career in a university.

But if this is not possible, I going to try to do a "formació professional" of second degree that I like it and it has several outlets professionals always based study that I have these two years.

It is also directly enter into the world of work, but is an option that would study while.

About this year

This second school year at Gorgs it's been so different from the first.

Firstly, we've found some subjects a little more difficult been a bit more difficult (or too much difficult in some cases); but we suppose it's normal because we are now in the second year.

For example, Maths or Physics are two subjects that have been painful for us.

The change of physical education for History also have given us a lot of more work to do, because we have to study much.

The more important new of the year has been the Treball de recerca. It also have taken us a lot of time doing it (including going to school in the evenings, it's a shit for the people who lives long away from school, we hadn't time to have lunch properly). After all, the result have been more satisfactory than we'd thought, and its been constructive.

Moreover, the construction of the new school has been annoying us during a lot of classes and has given us some headaches.

The big mistake of the course is the fact that we have classes on Monday evenings, we are the only high school that made class in the evenings.

The second mistake is made more homework and more English exams.

Voodo Chile

The Jimi Hendrix Experience was an English/American rock band that formed in London in 1966. Originally comprising American vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Jimi Hendrix, bassist and backing vocalist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell, the band was active until 1969, in which time they released three successful studio albums.


"Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" is the last track on the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland. The song is well known for its wah-wah-soaked guitar work, with muted strings crescendoing into explosive riffs.

Eugenio is a genious

Eugeni Jofre i Bafalluy , better known as Eugenio, born October 11, 1941 and died on March 11, 2001 in Barcelona, Catalonia, was a Catalan popular comedian.

In the 80s he became famous as a joke's storyteller. His humor was absurd and part of its effectiveness lay in his face permanently serious ( "I only laugh when I receive,he used to say), the changes of rhythm imposed by relying on the breaks for drinking and smoking or lighting cigarettes, and without the need to use any imitation of voices and accents. He used to act always dressed in black, sitting usually on a stool with a drink (orange juice with vodka) and a cigarette.

Jokes were told with a strong Catalan accent, often interspersed with a few words and expressions in Spanish. The phrase with which he began the stories, "El saben aquel que diu...?" is an example of that.

He died of a heart attack on March 11 from 2001.1 to 59 years of age.

The best film: The Godfather

The best film for me is The Godfather.

The Godfather is an American 1972 crime drama film based on the 1969 novel of the same name by Mario Puzo. In this film it has much famous actors, for example Marlon Brando or Al Pacino.

On the one hand, with this film the image of the Mafia as being a feudal organization with the Don being both the protector of the small fry and the collector of obligations from them to repay his services, which the Godfather helped to popularize, is now an easily recognizable cultural trope, as is that of the Don's family as a "royal family".

On the other hand this film is more interesting and realistic; the past of the time is more important and is interesting watch the changes in “the family”.

The Godfather along with the other films in the trilogy had a strong impact on the public at large. Don Vito's line "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse" was voted as the second most memorable line in cinema history.

Glasgow

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and third most populous in the United Kingdom.

Glasgow is located on the banks of the River Clyde, in West Central Scotland. Its second most important river is the Kelvin whose name was used for creating the title of Baron Kelvinand thereby ended up as the scientific unit of temperature.

Temperatures are considerably and consistently higher than most places of equal latitude away from the UK, due to the warming influence of the Gulf Stream Drift. The warmest month is usually July, the daily high averaging 20 °C. Despite some infrequent clear or dry days, winters in Glasgow are normally damp and cold.

Glasgow has the most extensive urban rail network in the UK outside of London with rail services travelling to a large part of the West of Scotland.

Glasgow has taken many different cultural foods and combined them into a unique dining experience. Most takeaways offer Indian dishes (pakora), pizzas and kebabs as well as the more traditional fish and chips or burgers. This has resulted in some takeaways offering a blend of dishes like chips with curry sauce, the donner kebab pizza, the battered and deep fried pizza to name but a few.

The Clyde Auditorium. Affectionately known by Glaswegians as the Armadillo, is a stunning building which forms part of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Glasgow Science Centre. Has hundreds of interactive science exhibits for children, an IMAX cinema, and the 125-meter Glasgow Tower (re-opened summer 2004), the only tower in the world which can rotate through 360 degrees from its base. It's not free, but it is worth the price.

Gallery of Modern Art. On Queen Street in the City Centre, this gallery houses a terrific collection of recent paintings and sculptures, with space for new exhibitions. In the basement is one of Glasgow's many public libraries, with free internet access and cafe. Free.

Hampden Park is the national stadium. Hampden hosts many large sporting events and concerts and also houses the Scottish Football Museum. The Scottish national football team plays its home games here. Is also home to Queen's Park Football Club.
